Hello everyone,
I am currently trying to completely understand this paper: http://jcp.aip.org/resource/1/jcpsa6/v50/i3/p1103_s1
On the third page of the paper (p. 1105), the authors use the quantity [itex]\alpha_T[/itex] and name it "isothermal expansion coefficient". I just have no clue, what this quantity shall describe. I know the "Coefficient of thermal expansion at constant pressure" and I know the "isothermal compressibility". Since the first one is not isothermal and the second one is used in the Paper, named [itex]\beta_T[/itex], I dont think he means either one of them. So, which partial derivative is meant here? Can anyone help me?
Thanks and greetings,
cheru
