Hi,
I have an intersting problem to solve.
Imagine a Sprint/Coil with Stiffness K. The same has been kept upright on a flat surface. Upon this coil, is hooked a wooden ledge of mas m. Due, to its weight, the coil is compressed a little.
Now comes the interesting bit. Suppose a rectangular object has been placed over the ledge. The dimensions of the object are same as that of the ledge. The coil compresses even more. Now, the rectangular shape is altered; its cut into two triangular halfves and the right one is discared. Due, to the shift in the center of mass, the coil may compress with an inclination towards the left. Find this inclination θ, if the mass of the rectangular object is m.
Can we please discuss this problem.
