j.d.jackson electrodynamics problem

could somebody suggest how the author is arriving at the result y=a(1+1/2(q/Q)^1/2) the point of zero force at page 61 section 2.3 right after equn 2.9 ,in detail.j.d. jackson is not a part of my cousework(using griffiths) .i read it out of interest.neither is the problem posed by me is my homework.my strength of approximation is a bit weak.
