diatomic ideal Gas

Hi,
I try to understand a cycle process with an diatomic ideal Gas.

Question:
Is it possiblie to use the ideal gas law:

[itex]pv=NkT[/itex]

for the diatomic gas?

I thought it is just for monoatomic.
